On Wednesday, 7^th of November the Jungchemiker Innsbruck organized their second ethics talk. Prof. Wilhelm Guggenberger from the institute for systematic theology of the University Innsbruck held a lecture titled "The economization of the world – Liberation from ethical problems or their aggravation?" In the beginning Guggenberger discussed the origin of the word "economization" with the help of quotes which ranged from Wolfgang Ambros to Immanuel Kant.
He furthermore talked about the appealing aspects of economization and about when and why one should be sceptic. He reasoned the role of econimization in establishing peace and the hurdles that arise living in a world with finite resources. Subsequent to the talk a buffet provided the opportunity for more interesting talks with Prof. Guggenberger.
