“Research is about turning money into knowledge - innovation is about turning knowledge into money!”
But what forms of innovation are there and how are they linked to research at a university? This lecture spans an arc from the basics of innovation to university research and uses numerous examples to provide an insight into the players and sources of funding that are important for work at the university.
Walter Schneider is Managing Director of the Austrian Chemical Society and has dealt with research and innovation from various perspectives. Most recently, he worked in the development of research strategies, the assessment of funding projects and as a lecturer for innovation systems. The lecture is aimed at students and early stage researchers who are interested in research and innovation. The lecture will be held in German and is creditable for the GÖCH lectures.
