Esther Heid is an assistant professor at TU Wien in the field of theoretical chemistry. Her research focuses on elucidating and predicting chemical reactions using deep learning methods.
Esther studied chemistry at the University of Vienna, where she earned her PhD in 2019 under Christian Schröder with a dissertation on “Concepts of solvation dynamics in molecular dynamics simulation.” After a postdoctoral fellowship at MIT, she joined Georg Madsen's group at TU Wien in 2022, where she founded her own research group in 2024.
