In this two-day workshop, Emanuel Ehmki, Torben Gutermuth and Christian Meyenburg from the University of Hamburg presented us the Python programming language. On the first day, participants recieved an introduction to the basic structure of a computer and its components, as well as an overview of the most basic Python functions needed for data analysis. Using an interactive Jupyter notebook, participants solved tasks independently. The participants still have access to the notebook, so they can practice again after the workshop. On the second day of the workshop, the participants worked independently on their own projects from everyday university life. The participants got together in groups and learned how to work independently on a data analysis with the help of the three workshop leaders.
