On March 18th, radiochemist Prof. Georg Steinhauser gave a lecture titled "Covered up: A nuclear accident", which was held via a nationwide accessible live stream from the Vortmann lecture hall of the Vienna University of Technology, due to Covid.

The well-known professor of the University of Hannover and radiation protection expert laid out the reasons and causes which led to a significant and alarming increase in ruthenium-106 throughout Europe. As he played a part in the investigation of the incident himself, Prof. Steinhauser was able to tell his thriller-like story to the around 150 participants, who could get into a more detailed discussion through the concluding question and answer session.
