Many decades ago, Lenzing AG, located in Lenzing, Upper Austria, already proved that wood is a valuable source for raw materials. Today, the company is a global player in fiber technologies, whose products are found in daily use items. In this talk, presented by the Young Chemists Vienna and the process engineering group of the Austrian Chemical Society (GÖCH), Dr. Christian Sperger (chemist) and Dr. Christoph Klaus-Nietrost (process engineer) will introduce you to the Lenzing AG and its exciting processes used to fabricate functional materials out of renewable resources. Furthermore, they will present the challenges the future holds for prospective specialists in this field. This talk is an online event.
