On January 17th, 2023, 7 chemistry students from TU Wien and the University of Vienna visited the Takeda production site in Vienna. Takeda is a global biopharmaceutical company developing drugs for the treatment of complex and rare diseases. The production site in Vienna produces plasma-based therapies, biologics, and medical devices.
Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Andreas Hofecker, M.A., Agile Lead at Takeda, and his colleagues gave the participants exciting insights into the process steps of pharmaceutical production, formulation, visual inspection, and packaging. Another stop was the Takeda Talent Acquisition, where the application process, benefits, and open positions were presented to the participants.
