"Research is to turn money into Knowledge - Innovation is to turn knowledge into money!"
But what forms of innovation are there and how are they linked to research at a university? This lecture spans an arc from the basics of innovation to university research and uses numerous examples to provide an insight into the players and sources of funding that are important for work at the university.
The talk is held by Walter Schneider. He is the CEO of the Austrian Society of Chemistry (GÖCH) and did approach research and innovation from different perspectives during his career. Lately he was involved in developing strategies, evaluated funding projects and teached about innovation systems.
Primarily, the talk is directed to students and early stage researchers, who are interested in research and innovation. The talk is held in german and will take from 2 pm to 5 pm including breaks and a disscussion.
